Yes, you can live your best life!

At the beginning of 2015 many people wrote out or thought about all the things in which they wanted to accomplish. Working out more, eating less red meat, cooking more at home, blogging more, meeting new people all sounded great in January and February, but where has the momentum gone?

Many people try to pull the “I’m just too busy” card, but are you really that busy? “If only there were more hours in a day,” is another phase that people often use. If someone were to actually take an inventory of their day and how they spent every hour, most people I’m sure would say that they waste a lot of time on nonproductive things.

Being nonproductive could range from checking your e-mail every thirty minutes to being in Facebook or Instagram for countless hours checking people’s statues, which are more than likely irrevalant or false.

2015 is not yet over, there is still time to accomplish your dreams, goals and aspirations. Make today the day you change how you handle your time. Focus on what’s important and get to work. Don’t allow 2016 to come and you still haven’t put a dent in what you wrote down. True you may not complete everything, but at least try to get more than less done.

Your life has purpose. Live on purpose. Get going on your dreams. It’s those dreams that are in you that can only be accomplished by you.

When God created you, he broke the mold. No one will ever come close to being who you are. You were created in the image of God and you were created on purpose with a purpose. Throughout life, we encounter many things, views, beliefs, heartbreaks, loves and etc. But, we can not ever let those things change who we are as a person. Ok, so you didn’t get the job you wanted, that doesn’t mean you don’t have what it takes to be successful. Closed doors happen for a reason. I encourage you to keep applying and the right door will open. Ok, so the one you where in love with hurt your heart. That doesn’t mean that you’re not a lovable person. Maybe that person simply couldn’t appreciate what they had when they had it. Don’t allow that situation to make you become bitter and angry. You are awesome! You are wonderful! Yes, we all have things we can work on, but just be you. Take life one day at a time and don’t ever lose yourself in your situations or what others try to define you as.

The life you live should never be mediorcore. At whatever age you are, you should be living your best life. True, you may not have the biggest house or the most fanciest car, but does all that really matter? What should matter the most is that you are happy with you. Outside material things shouldn’t be the deciding factor if you are going to be happy or not. So what you are not currently in a relationship, be content with being single and enjoy getting to know you.

If there is something that you’ve always wanted to do, what’s holding you back? I don’t know if you’ve realized it or not, but time is not waiting on anyone. It’s not going in reverse, only full speed ahead. Being that tomorrow is not promised, why not try focusing on your gifts, talents and purpose?

True, you may not have all the resources or experiences you may need to complete your goals, but at least get started with what you do have. Get started doing something!

Be aware there are going to be those who are going to discourage you either intentionally or unintentionally, but either way stay focused on your dream. There will always be those who don’t understand what you are trying to accomplish. Regardless, keep pressing forward and focused.

So I encourage you today, despite what set backs you may have encountered in life don’t let them keep you down. Learn how to get back up and keep at it.

Learn how to encourage yourself when you need to. Say affirmations daily. Believe in yourself. Shake off the haters and live a life that makes you smile and happy.
