Yes, you can live your best life!

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about Happiness and Contentment. I’m 39 years old and I live a blessed life compared to many. No, I’m not super rich nor do I get to take exotic vacations every year. But, I’m healthy, I have a roof over my head, food in my tummy and clean water to drink. Those things alone put me ahead of many. I find in this life I’m happy because I’m content. You see to me, happiness is a feeling and can come and go like the wind. But, true contemptment is a state of mind and being and will not change regardless of the situation.
I remember setting certain goals in life and I just knew that if I met those goals it would make me happy. But, in reality when I did eventually meet my set goals, yes I was happy for a moment. But then that moment passed and I was off to find the next thing that would bring me happiness.

You see, with the pursuit of happiness you’ll never be happy because happiness is fluent and can change like the weather. You can look at other people’s lives and wish you were happy like them. But who said they were actually happy? Smiling for a picture is an easy task. Yes, they are on a great vacation, but are they in debt for that moment of fun? Yes those relationships people protray on social media seem like matches in Heaven, but you never know what someone is going through secretly. I’ve learned early on to never envy the appearance of anything.

But with contentment you’re not easily swayed by the emotion of happiness. I remember when I lived in an apartment with my children. Sure one day I wanted to provide them with a single family home with a yard. But until that time happened, I treated that apartment like it was a million dollar masion. I was content because it supplied our needs and I kept it cleaned because it was a gift from God. I truly believe God won’t bless you with more until you learn to appreciate what you already have.

So daily I practice the art of contentment. Being content makes me happy. Being content helps me to focus on the blessings of my now. Being content helps me to appreciate my present. Yes, I have goals I want to accomplish in life. But on my way to accomplishing them, I’m content with the pace.

Recently a family member of someone I know was placed in the ICU department of a certain hospital. Later when that person posted a update on Facebook to inform people of the status of their family member, they said they were loving on her as much as possible as she waited on Jesus.

Her statment caused me to ponder. Isn’t that something we all are doing unconsciously? True, many of us are as healthy as a horse, but we all know this fact…at some point we will all die and meet Jesus.

The factual and inevitible is that we are all on borrowed time. The day we took our first breath, an end date was given to us. No one knows this end date or how the end date will transpire, that is why it is very important to live the best and happiest life you can.

My encouragement to you is as you are waiting on Jesus that you maximize on time by making the most of your time. God did not create you just for you to go to work everyday, then die. Your life has more purpose than that. If you are not living to your full potential you can’t blame anyone but yourself.

We will never know when it will be our time to meet the Almighty, so make sure your time here on earth has meaning. What will be your legacy? What will people say about your character? What did you do for others or did you consume yourself with only helping yourself? As you wait for Jesus, be busy in the process. Never be idle. Never simply do nothing. Stop making excuses.

The time we have here is very limted, so use it wisely. The people you meet have a purpose. The choices you met have outcomes. Pray with ceasing. Ask God daily to direct your path. Forgive quickly. When it’s finally your time to meet Jesus, make sure that meeting is full,of joy and happiness. Make sure when you close your eyes on this side that you hear those words from God on the other side, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

So often I speak to people who are not happy with their lives. Everyday has become a routine and they feel stuck. I can honestly say that I’ve been there before. But, one thing you gotta keep pressing for is a better life. This doesn’t always mean becoming a millionaire. It actually can start with having peace of mind.

You see everything starts in the mind. If you want a better life, you gotta see it first. If you want a better job, you have to envision yourself working there first. Whatever your dream is to do or become, you must see it in your mind first.

When God created you, he had so much in store for you. So much in store that goes beyond working everyday then dying. God placed a purpose inside of you and he wants you to carry out your purpose. He wants you to empty yourself out so that there’s nothing left when it’s your time to make your tranision from this earth.

Life is not meant for you to simply work, pay bills then die.

I want to encourage you to find out what your passion and purpose is and begin to fully live life on purpose.

What I have learned during my time here on earth is that everyone has an opinion? To some degree, to be opininated could be a good thing. That means you have your own mind and you are not afraid to express your feelings and views. But, what happens when your opinion is not warranted and has the ability to hurt someone in your process of expressing yourself?

Honestly, no one can stop an opinionated person from saying whatever, but you can manage how you receive their opinions. Only you can allow what someone says to go in one ear and out the other. Or, you can allow their words to cause you to question how awesome you are as a person and keep you in bondage.

So what someone doesnt like your new dress. If you like it, that is all that matters. When you look in the mirror and only see fabulous then that’s all what counts.

Where I see most people are still in bondage is when it comes to their past. Yes, you messed up way back when. But, you are a better person now. Stop allowing the opinions of others who knew you way back then, to keep you in your past. God has the ability to help anyone who wants to change. People are always evolving, so ignore the haters. Ignore those who never have anything positive to say. Ingore their opinions and keep pressing forward.

Sometimes, you gotta make new friends!

We all have a past, but the great thing is that we all have a future too. God’s opinion of you is the only one that truly matters. I encourage you to live the very best life you can live and ignore any counteraction against what you are trying to achieve!

Super excited about speaking at my MADE FOR MORE Motivational event on Saturday. I know many people were not able to make it, so I wanted to share the video of the event. I pray it blesses you.

In six more days, I will have awesome the opportunity to speak to others regarding their purpose here on earth. I believe we were all created for a purpose and on purpose. The only thing is, many people have not discovered what their purpose is and they are simply living daily with no direction.

Then there are those who have discovered their purpose, but are too afraid to go forward with their passion. Many people are too afraid to jump due to fear of failure. Truth is we are all going to fail at some point, but that doesn’t constitute you a failure.

I plan to encourage those who attend to be risk takers and realize that we only have one life to live. Thus, we should live it to the fullest. We all have gifts and talents to share with this world, thus going to the grave full of regrets and unused gifts is not an option.

I am grateful for this opportunity to be used by God to encouraged others.

“This is the day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24

Stop putting off your happiness for another day. Tomorrow is not promised, thus enjoy the blessings of today. Unfortunately, no one is exempt from problems, but realize God made you more than a conquerour, so be encouraged you will get through this tough season.

Your happiness shouldn’t rest in if things are always going your way or if they are running smoothly. Your happiness should come from within you, within your heart and within your mind first. If ever you are having a rough day, think yourself happy. Laugh just because. Who needs a reason?? Once you make focusing on being happy and laughing on purpose, you will soon discover you will begin to become a happy person.

Rejoice in knowing that God thought enough of you to allow you to see this new day. If you are reading this, your purpose has not yet been fulfilled and God is still working through you.

So even if yesterday was hard, God still did not leave nor forsake you. Rejoice in today and focus on tomorrow. I believe in you…

Just my thoughts…Adrian
