Yes, you can live your best life!

Recently a family member of someone I know was placed in the ICU department of a certain hospital. Later when that person posted a update on Facebook to inform people of the status of their family member, they said they were loving on her as much as possible as she waited on Jesus.

Her statment caused me to ponder. Isn’t that something we all are doing unconsciously? True, many of us are as healthy as a horse, but we all know this fact…at some point we will all die and meet Jesus.

The factual and inevitible is that we are all on borrowed time. The day we took our first breath, an end date was given to us. No one knows this end date or how the end date will transpire, that is why it is very important to live the best and happiest life you can.

My encouragement to you is as you are waiting on Jesus that you maximize on time by making the most of your time. God did not create you just for you to go to work everyday, then die. Your life has more purpose than that. If you are not living to your full potential you can’t blame anyone but yourself.

We will never know when it will be our time to meet the Almighty, so make sure your time here on earth has meaning. What will be your legacy? What will people say about your character? What did you do for others or did you consume yourself with only helping yourself? As you wait for Jesus, be busy in the process. Never be idle. Never simply do nothing. Stop making excuses.

The time we have here is very limted, so use it wisely. The people you meet have a purpose. The choices you met have outcomes. Pray with ceasing. Ask God daily to direct your path. Forgive quickly. When it’s finally your time to meet Jesus, make sure that meeting is full,of joy and happiness. Make sure when you close your eyes on this side that you hear those words from God on the other side, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

When we were created, we all were given a measure of faith. Now what we do with it depends on each individual. When I read my Bible I learn of people who had great faith; unshakable faith. It’s this type of faith I strive to have. But, what happens when you don’t understand what’s going on in your life and you wonder why is God allowing such things to happen?

I think we’ve all been there at some point in our lives. I remember for me it was when I lost everything. I had no job, two children to take of, thus I had to get on government assistance for help.

At one point, I made a lot of money. I had it so good, I didn’t even balance my check book. I wasn’t a millionaire, but I made very good money in my profession. In my mind, I had it all together. Although, I was a Christian who was very active in church and practiced my beliefs daily, I never really thought about God being my source, as opposed to my job or employer.

Let me tell you, God was not pleased by my “hidden pride.”

Over time, my easy life got really hard and it got hard quick. I would cry and scream out to God and ask him, why? Of course, he seemed silent as if he didn’t care. Day after day, I cried and wondered where he was in the midst of my turmoil. But, what I didn’t realize is that I had to go through that storm. And I was to go through it without questioning him because ultimately he was in control and my future was in his hands.

To date, I can honestly say I appreciate the storm I went through. It helped my faith to grow and also helped me to realize who was my source. I now have a testimony in which I can share with others and help them when they want to question God.

If you are in a why stage in your life, I would like to encourage you by saying, trust God. God’s timing is perfect and everything he does is for a reason. We are but mere humans who have control issues. Let go of having to know the ending and trust the process. It’s gonna all work out for your good. It did for me and I know It will for you.

Just my thoughts…Adrian

Daily Inspiration 10/19/2015:

“Yet ye have not, because ye ask not.” James 4:2b

In my house I get this question often, “How come he can have that?” My simple answer is because, he asked for it. In my lifetime I’ve realized God responds in a similar way. He responds to action. When I stop assuming God is a mind reader and I simply open my mouth and verbally ask for what I need/want (with the right motive, of course) God opens doors on my behalf. I encourage you today to open your mouth and ask God in faith for whatever you need. Never waver in your faith no matter how long you think it’s taking. “For everyone who asks recieves.” Matt 7:8a

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Proverbs 18:21

Words have power. The words you speak today will set the course for your future. I encourage you to be slow to speak, because whatever you put into the universe will return to you. Stop speaking lack, sickness, pain and saddness into your life. Begin to speak prosperity, health and abundant wisdom.

Even if the doctor says you are sick, speak words that are contrary to his report. Even if your bank account doesn’t have the amount in it that you would like, speak words that confess you are rich and that you will never be broke. Even if you are single and you have had your share of guys/girls who didn’t treat you like you should have been treated, confess that one right person is going to find you.

Don’t get discouraged when life throws you a curve ball. Rather, look at it as a lesson and confess that this too shall pass and that God will never leave not forsake you.

Whatever you want to change in your life, start by changing your words.

So often people get so wrapped up in the future that they neglect their right now. Even if your right now isn’t everything you would like for it to be, show appreciation to the Creator, because it could be a whole lot worse.

True, your job may suck at times. But you do have one. So, while you are applying for others, do that job to the best of your abilities and with a smile.

True, you may want a different house or car, but appreciate the one you currently have and honor God with it.

Learn to live in and embrace your right now. Allow tomorrow to worry about itself. There are blessings in your right now if only you would embrace the moment and simply say thank you for where you are, because you certainly aren’t where you use to be.

“For who hath despised the day of small things? For they rejoice.” Zechariah 4:10a

We all only get one chance at this life, so why not make it the best life you can live? Wake up each day excitedly anticipating good things happening to you. Speak positive affirmations over your life, your busines, your children and your finances. Yes, things will happen that may “cause” you to think negative, but despite whatever is happening choose to focus on positive, uplifting things. (Phillipians 4:8)

One thing I have learned is to rejoice in the small things. Too often we wait for something big to happen in our lives in order to celebrate. But, let me encourage you, whatever accomplishment you’ve achieved celebrate it. And do it big!

If you beat a dead line at work or at school, celebrate! If you got to work on time because there was no traffic, celebrate! If got all the children dressed, fed and to school on time, celebrate! If you able to save money at the grocery or clothing store, celebrate! Never wait till something “big” happens in your life to celebrate.

Tomorrow is not promised so enjoy today to the fullest. Appreciate the small things and be grateful for each moment, accomplishment, hug, smile, cup of coffee and array of beautiful flowers. God has given us so much to be grateful for. Thank him by celebrating all things!
